Here you see me with my parents who introduced me to yoga in my early life. They enrolled me in a yoga program during my teen years to increase my resilience for navigating high-school. I was also blessed to be in a schools where they had yoga camps. and was fortunate enough to learn from teachers who were graduates from Bihar School of Yoga, the epitome of traditional yoga knowledge.
My parents taught me the resilience to live life and inculcating that wisdom that everything lies within me and I can achieve anything that I put my heart into. My father is no more and passed away in 2020 due to stroke and subsequently Covid, but his very nature taught me the essence of life that it is all about giving and not taking. Been a Botany Professor he used to say that "The deeper the roots of a tree, the higher the shoot will grow."
My both parents being university teachers had an immense attitude to give out knowledge to others. They are truly my first teachers.
Being a health care professional for over 20 years has further helped me in growing towards this path.
Having completed my Masters from the school of Medical Rehabilitation at the University of Manitoba, I learned all about the Neuroplasticity of the brain and it's amazing ability to learn, adapt and heal.
Over the last couple of decades, I have seen so much pain and suffering both on a physical and mental level that has propelled me in this direction. I want to show and educate people that yoga has the potential to remove all suffering as it helps us in developing an awareness of who we truly are. Once we get that awareness we will always choose what is right for us.
It has not only helped me in my physical and mental health, but it has also helped me grow spiritually and nurture beautiful relationships and lifetime friends. It has given meaning to my life and a purpose to live.
My Life changed as I became a mom to my three daughters. Navigating through the journey of motherhood has not been easy and every day is a learning curve but this beautiful and unpredictable journey has definitely helped me in what I am today. My goal is to inspire them to seek truth so that they can spread the goodness around
My journey of yoga could not be complete without the support of the divinity that is always present within.
Divine love provides a strong foundation for spiritual growth and is always celebrated in our culture. It is above and beyond the physical realms of life and is based on the strong foundation of love for all.
A detailed study of scriptures like the Bhagwat Gita, Patanjali Yog Sutra, and Upanishads have really helped me to understand the core philosophy of this profound wisdom. It has helped me live a holistic life with the goal to reach that ultimate reality of human existence. Learning the deep-rooted wisdom made me see yoga as beyond physical practice
I could not have come so far in my journey without the great inspiration from the following people who have enormous contributions to the growth of yoga. These amazing personalities have and will inspire generations to come with the pure energy they radiate
